We Believe

We believe in a New Testament Church.

"You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God . . . and on this rock, I will build my church.  (Matthew 16: 16;18)

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ."  (1 Corinthians 3:11)

We believe in a New Testament Plan of Salvation.

  • Believe in Jesus. (Mark 16:16; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 11:6)

  • Repent of Sins. (Acts 2:38; 17:30; Luke 13:3-5)

  • Confess our Faith. (Matthew 10:32,33; Romans 10:9,10)

  • Be Baptized by immersion for the forgiveness of sins and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; Romans 6:1-11)

We believe in observing New Testament Communion.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)

Communion Service:
Christ's invitation to "Do this in memory of me” is for every Christian. The apostle Paul wrote, "Let a man examine himself and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup...”  Our weekly communion service is open to all Christians, whether they are a member of Bethany Christian Church or not.

We believe in observing New Testament Stewardship . . .

"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”   (2 Corinthians 9:7)

We believe in living a New Testament Life . . .

"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)

The invitation is for:
  • anyone who desires to confess faith in Christ and be baptized for the remission of their sins;

  • any immersed believers who desire to transfer their membership from another congregation to Bethany;

  • anyone who feels the need to rededicate their life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ; or

  • anyone who desires special prayer.

If you desire to respond, please come forward during our invitation.
